Webster et al. (2013)

Larval settlement and metamorphosis of eight-day old staghorn coral (Acropora tenuis) larvae after 42 hours exposure to reduced pH conditions. Settlement and metamorphis were aided by the addition of 30 µl of a crustose coralline algae extract (Hydrolithon onkodes) given after the first 24 hours of pH exposure, which extract induces sub-maximal metamorphosis. Temperature was maintained at approximately 27°C.
